Dosage Modes Overview

There are 3 different types of dosages modes

  1.  Total Quantity / Percentage
  2. Per Day or Daily Dose
  3. Per Container / Per Bag

Dispensaries can rename these dosage modes to something different, but they cannot change how they calculate the total quantity received for each ingredient.

Total Quantity / Percentage

User will enter ingredients (herbs) into their formula and then enter a value.  Each ingredient will represent a percentage of the entire formula.  The herbalist can then specify the total amount they want, and the system will calculate how much of each ingredient is required at the same percentage.   This means that if an ingredient is 50% of the formula, it will be 50% of the formula whether the total quantity of the formula is 50g or 500g.

Per Day or Daily Dose

User will enter ingredients (herbs) into the formula and enter a value.  The value will be multiplied by the number of days specified in the Formula Options section or in the dosage inputs section.   The value entered for each ingredient (herb) represents the amount you want the end user to consumer each day.

Per Container

User will enter ingredients (herbs) into the formula and enter a value.  The value will be multiplied by the number of containers specified in the Formula Options section.   The value entered represents the amount you want there to be in each container.  The container could be a bag, pouch, bottle, sachet or anything used to hold the formula.
