Formula Refill Settings

Practitioners may permit a patient to order a refill themselves in their patient account. To permit patients to order refills themselves, please make sure your patient account is setup and turned on.

Go to Admin > Websites > Patient Website, to turn it on the patient account.  When you first register your dispensary, the patient account is set to OFF by default.

The settings on this page will control the default options for new practitioners who register in your dispensary. Each practitioner can update their own default settings in their own account to suit their needs.  If a practitioner has turned on refills, and you turn it off here, it will not turn off in their account, only they can do that.

The admin can also order a refill for a patient using the refills page in admin.

You can turn refills off for the practitioner by default, but please note the practitioner can turn on refills from their practitioner account.

Default Settings

You can turn off the defaults which would force the practitioner to enter refill options for each custom formula they create for a patient.  Practitioners can create their own defaults in their practitioner account.

Default Settings

Number of Refills

The total number of refills available for a formula or product as a default

Days allowed between refills

This controls how often a patient can order a refill.  You can set this number to 0 if you don’t want to put any restriction on how often they can order refills. Please bear in mind that the patient could order all their refills at once if set to 0.

Expiry Date

Enter the number of days until the refills will expire and the patient will no longer be able to order refills. The refill expiry date can be changed by the practitioner and the admin if a mistake is made.

Note: You can set the same defaults for each herb type or you can set specific defaults per herb type
